2027 Honours, Master’s and PhD applications are open

The Wits Centre for Diversity Studies is now accepting applications for Honours, Master’s and PhD studies for 2027.
Applicants must be interested in issues of critical diversity studies (e.g. race, gender, sexuality, disability, nationality, class) and must be comfortable with interdisciplinary and intersectional approaches.
WiCDS has a strict policy on originality and student ethics. The use of AI as a writing tool makes it impossible to evaluate an applicant’s critical skills and originality. As such, students whose email communications and written submissions appear to be generated by AI are unlikely to be accepted by the Centre.
Limited funding is available from the National Research Foundation for MA and PhD students working under the SARChI Chair in Critical Diversity Studies. If you’re interested in applying for this, please contact nicky.falkof@wits.ac.za before 10 June to discuss.
